Lavandula x intermedia Phenomenal
Lavender ‘Phenomenal’ is an interspecific intermedia type (similar to Grosso), with excellent winter hardiness (successfully tested in Zone 6; running current tests in Zone 5). A hallmark of the variety is that ‘Phenomenal’ does not die back from the bottom, as is commonly seen in other hardy lavenders. Instead, ‘Phenomenal’ remains full and thick throughout the entire plant.
